Emma and Graham

I was delighted to be photographing Emma and Graham's wedding in September this year. I met them at a wedding fair I was exhibiting at and they were getting married at Kirknewton Stables and having their reception there also. I had photographed a corporate event there a few years ago but never a wedding so I was really looking forward to seeing how it would go. Emma was getting ready at a nearby hotel and she thought it would have been too busy to have me there while she and 4 bridesmaids got ready. It was a shame as I love to photograph all the preparations but it just meant that I was at the venue super early. So Graham arrived, along with the most ushers I have ever seen at a wedding - 10 in total. A popular lad was Graham.

Some of the guys were wandering through to the gardens after getting their photograph's taken where I found the groom playing swingball. A first for me I have to say at a wedding but a nice addition. The guest's were now starting to arrive along with the 4 bridesmaids.

The bridesmaids arrived a wee bit later then expected and the white taxi had to go back for Emma which meant that she was 30 minutes late. However when she arrived she looked stunning and very laid back. She then walked into the hall where the ceremony was due to take place.

After the ceremony all the guests went out in the garden where I got a large group shot of everyone and some great confetti pics.

I then took Emma and Graham along with their bridesmaids and the many ushers around the grounds for some pictures.

Emma and Graham then wanted to spend time with their guests. It was a great opportunity for me to capture all the guests having fun. There was even a chicken walking about the grounds.

The guests were then seated for dinner and Emma and Graham were pipped into the room with the tune from Top Gun. Again another first for me at a wedding. The speeches then began with Emma's dad and then Graham's Dad. This was followed by Graham and then his best man who was his brother. Lets just say that Graham was pleased when his brother sat down!

After a fantastic meal the sweety cake was cut and then the dancing began. It was a ceilidh band which was fantastic for pictures. It was such a great wedding and everyone looked like they were having a ball. The dance floor was certainly full which I always think is the sign of a good wedding.
