Julie and Gary's wedding at University of Glasgow and House for an Art Lover
It was going to be am amazing day at Julie and Gary's wedding as they had picked two of my favourite venues in Glasgow- University of Glasgow and House for an Art Lover. Almost too many wonderful backdrops for one wedding!
The day started at a west end flat that the girls were getting ready in. I arrived early and got all the hair and make up shots. One of my favourite pictures from here is when Julie and her Dad practiced their walk down the aisle.
I then headed to the University to photograph Gary and his groomsmen. I really loved the different kilts that the guys had, it looked great.
Julie and her bridesmaid arrived. Julie's dress was amazing and was perfect for such a place like University of Glasgow. After the ceremony we did a group shot of all the guests on the stairs of the chapel. Its a great place for this kind of shot.
I took the couple and their close family through to the cloisters which is the iconic part of the University. As a photographer you could spend all day here! The most amazing structure with nooks and crannies of light and beautiful architecture.
We then headed to House for an Art Lover for the reception. The drinks were held in the music room with the guests mingling on the outside terrace. I still took advantage of the houses oval room and window seats for some more pictures of the couple.
The meal then started in the dining room with speeches first. I loved the pictures of Gary when his best men were doing their speech!
It was then time for the first dance. Julie had changed into a second wedding dress perfect for dancing, what a great idea.
What a fantastic day. Such an amazing couple in two fantastic wedding locations! G x
