Lynn and Dougie's wedding photography at Romancamp
So this was my first wedding of two international ski instructors! Lynn and Dougie were back in Scotland for their wedding at The Roman Camp in Callander. They both are Ski instructors in Val d'isere in France and Lynn even represented Great Britain on the international race circuit. So this wedding was going to have a ski theme!
The whole day was going to be at The Roman Camp and luckily enough the sun was shining so the ceremony was going to be outside on the banks of the River Teith.
As both Lynn and Dougie were getting ready at the hotel I got to photograph both the morning preparations of the guys and the girls. I loved the bridesmaids dress and Lynn's dress was stunning. The guys had personalised alpine mugs for the pre-wedding tipple.
All the guests started to arrive along with the hotels peacock! I couldn't believe how lucky we were going to be with the weather.
When all the guests were seated Lynn and her Dad walked down to the river with her bridesmaids leading the way. What a place to have a wedding ceremony, it was incredible.
After the ceremony Lynn and Dougie walked back up to the hotel to sign the register followed by the guests for the drinks reception. Some of their Skiing buddies then did a guard of honour with skis which Lynn and Dougie walked under , it was fantastic!
All the guests then remained outside for drinks and the couple had laid on garden games for everyone.
I took Dougie and Lynn back down to the waters edge for some pictures and got some family group shots that they had requested.
It was such a beautiful day, the weather could not have been better!
I always take pictures of the room set up, table decorations and cake. The couples cake was fantastic and fashioned into a mountain covered in snow where the miniature Bride and Groom had skied down to the bottom, fantastic!
It was then time for the speeches and meal. Someone had got Lynn and Dougie Bride and Groom Bibs for their meal it was hilarious.
After the meal many of the guests headed outside as it was a beautiful warm night while the room was being turned around for the evening reception.
It was then time for the first dance and Ceilidh. A Ceilidh can produce some of the best pictures of the dancing as there is so much movement and laughing and Lynn and Dougie's was no different.
What a fun filled unique wedding it was and I was so grateful to be a part of it. G x
