Stacey and Douglas's wedding photography at One Devonshire Garden, Glasgow
The beautiful and intimate wedding of Stacey and Douglas at wonderful One Devonshire gardens was perfect.
One Devonshire Gardens is a truly beautiful and unique hotel in the West End of Glasgow. Made up of several townhouses linked together with the most amazing stained glass windows to the rear of the property, I love it!
Everything was happening at the hotel. When I arrived Stacey, the bride, was doing all the hair! Being a hairdresser it was understandable. I loved, loved Stacey's 50's style lace dress. This combined with her birdcage head dress was stunning. Her striking red lipstick just set the tone for an amazing look. The bridesmaids dresses where incredible too. An elegant back and white evening gown looked perfect with Stacey's incredible dress.
Douglas and his best man arrived. Douglas had a smart suit with a pink tie that I knew would match perfectly Stacey's 50's dress.
It was time for the ceremony. Stacey and Douglas had a great time. What a laugh when after the kiss Stacey's red lip stick made an impression on Douglas's lips. Hilarious!
After the ceremony we headed outside for a group shot and some pictures. I also took some shots at the iconic stained glass windows at the back of the hotel. It was such a chilled day with only 16 guests it was just like an intimate party. Plenty of time to chat to everyone.
The meal was set put on one large table in the room where they had the ceremony. Some informal speeches occurred before the meal. Such a lovely informal day.
The couple had invited about another 40 guests for the evening reception. After the cake cutting it was time for rat dancing. The ceremony room was once again transformed into a dance floor and everyone was up for a boogie.
What a great day. It just goes to show that you don't need large numbers to have a perfect wedding. Small is sometimes better!
