The wedding photography of Harriet and Graham at Mar Hall
Weddings can be very stressful events to arrange but when Harriet and Graham told me that they were emigrating to Canada the week after theirs I thought Wow, they must be organised!
They were having their wedding at Mar Hall, both the ceremony and reception. I arrived early to get shots of them getting ready. Graham had bought his groomsmen American football shirts for them to wear before the ceremony, they looked great.
Harriet's gown was so elegant and suited her perfectly. I got some beautiful shots of her at the window and Graham's very cute nieces . Harriet's bridesmaid was her best friend who had a beautiful navy dress which looked great.
We then headed downstairs to the ceremony room where Harriet and Graham had a beautiful humanist wedding. Everyone then went outside into the sunny day to get a large group shot of all the guests. I got my usual confetti must have shot too.
You are very spoiled at Mar Hall with the grounds and view. I got some lovely shots of Harriet and Graham on both sides of the building. I then had plenty of time for the candid shots of the guests, which I love to do. I made use of the spectacular window in the grand hall to get a pictures of Harriet in her stunning dress. The couple had arranged for a pianist to play on the grand piano to entertain their guests.
It was then time to head over to the beautiful permanent marquee for the speeches and meal. It is such a bright and light marquee so great for getting pictures of the speeches.
After the meal I persuaded the couple to go out onto the decking for some early evening shots and then it was full swing into the ceilidh dancing.
I would like to thank Harriet and Graham for allowing me to photograph their day and I wish them all the best on their next adventure to Canada! G x
