Wedding Photography of Gillian and Scott at Boclair House
It was my first trip to the new Boclair House for me for Gillian and Scott's wedding. I say the first but I was very familiar with the building as it used to be a Council building which I had to visit regularly when I worked at the local paper 22 years ago. Wow had it changed! I loved the Art Deco look of the place which fitted in with the style of Gillian's dress perfectly.
The day started at Gillian's parents house for the hair and make up and it was then onto St Columbkille's church for the ceremony. It was such a beautiful service in such a stunning church. We then headed to Boclair House for pictures and drinks reception. The rain held off enough for us to get shots outside and a large group shot.
I really loved shooting around the grounds of the venue as there is such a choice of backgrounds. You really are spoiled. It was then time for the meal and speeches. The dining room was stunning with a real 20's theme to it. After the meal I took Gillian and Scott outside for some evening shots. The gazebo and building were lit up so beautifully it would have been a sin not to take some shots at this point. After that was the cake cutting and then the dancing started. The dance floor in the venue wasn't huge but that allowed such a great atmosphere on the dance floor. It was in full swing when I left.
I would like to thank Gillian and Scott for allowing me to be their photographer. It was such a joy to be able to photograph their fantastic wedding. G x
