The beautiful, elegant wedding of Danielle and Craig took place at House for an Art Lover, situated in Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park.

This is one of my very favourite wedding venues, not only for the stunning grounds, but for the variety of interesting interiors.

The day started at a city centre hotel where Danielle,  her bridesmaids, Mum and future Mother-in-law were getting ready. I love the mezzanine layout of the room, great for pictures. I also popped to Craig’s room where he and his best man were getting ready too.

I then headed to HFAL. The couple had quite a small intimate wedding so they chose the fireplace area in the dining room for their ceremony, a great spot for wedding pictures.

All the guests started to arrive and then Danielle arrived with her parents in a wedding taxi.

The ceremony was beautiful and full of fun. Danielle was quite nervous beforehand but no nerves were on show.

We managed to all head out for a group shot before the rain started. Then everyone was back inside for pictures of family and friends.

HFAL is a venue that is perfect if you have a rainy day. There are so many beautiful interiors so ideal places for wedding pictures.

Mackintosh was so clever with his design to create a bright, light room like the Oval room.

Then through the door you have the darkness of the wooden panelled corridor with little pockets of light coming through to the window seats. Genius!!

The rain let up for about 10 minutes so I took the couple outside for some exterior shots. We used the venues grounds and then popped into the walled garden.

It was then time for the meal and speeches which were in the music room. Loads of emotions on show here, I love this part of the day.

The evening entertainment was down in the art lovers cafe. This is the very unique things about a wedding at HFAL, you are taken on a journey through the whole venue. This is quite rare in a wedding venue and makes for more interesting wedding pictures.

I just loved this couple’s day. I adore Danielles’s elegant dress and veil  and Craig’s stylish suit. Such a lovely wedding for such a lovely couple!

The beautiful wedding of Chan and Ashley at House for an Art Lover in Glasgow.

This wonderful couple travelled all the way from San Francisco to Glasgow for their wedding because of their love for the city and Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s architecture.

It was such a thrill be able to capture their special day. I think it was a testament to how loved this couple are that so many family and friends travelled from California to be with them at their wedding,

The whole day was filled with joy and laughter and Ashley even played a beautiful piece of music on the piano in the appropriately named music room,  much to the guests delight.

At the end of the weekend I felt like I had made two new friends in Chan and Ashley, which I will be forever grateful for.

Thanks guys. G x

Such a beautiful autumnal day it was for wedding of Siobhan and Jonas at House for an Art Lover in Glasgow.

Siobhan and Jonas are both classical musicians who met through their love of Mozart when Siobhan moved to Sweden. Although they both live in Stockholm they wanted a Scottish wedding and House for an Art Lover was the place for them.

I loved seeing some of the Swedish wedding traditions like having coffee and doughnuts after the ceremony and party games at the speeches.
Such an amazing day filled with music, fun and laughter!

The very chic Parisian/ Scottish wedding of Charlotte and Nicolas at the amazing House for an Art Lover in Glasgow.

The couple lived in Paris but wanted a Scottish wedding as Charlotte’s parents were Scottish.

So may elements of the day were  stylish and especially Charlotte’s red wedding dress, so different and totally perfect for her. I loved her gold Bobbie shoes that just complemented her red dress beautifuly.

The cake that the couple had made was something else. Like a work of art in itself, I have never seen a cake quite like this. There was a theme of art going through the day with every table named after a female artist.

Such  a great energy from the Bride and Groom all day at this beautiful wedding.
