Christy & Pete at Cornhill Castle, Biggar
What an incredible day it was for Christy and Pete’s wedding at the wonderful Cornhill Castle. A favourite venue of mine as I grew up in Symington just a mile away.
It was one of those glorious sunny days in May which meant that they could have their ceremony outside overlooking Tinto hill, something they had both wished for.
Christy and Pete both got ready at the venue. Christy in the hotel with her bridesmaids and Pete in one of the lodges with his best man and groomsman.
Everything went perfectly during the beautiful ceremony which was followed by some more formal pictures including a large group shot of all the guests.
Everyone basked in the sunshine enjoying cocktails on the lawn. You couldn’t ask for more.
I loved how Christy and Pete danced into the room after they were announced for the speeches with their heart glasses on, really making an entrance!
One of my favourite parts of a wedding day is the speeches. I love capturing emotion and I got it all at this wedding – laughter, tears, the lot!
I had discussed with Christy and Pete how Cornhill can have the most beautiful sunsets, the golden hour! We weren’t disappointed. After a few of the first dances we went outside and got some amazing shots.
The night ended with a fantastic spot by the sax guy. What a great finish!
I would like to thank Christy and Pete for allowing me to capture such a perfect day. G x
