Danielle and Dominic’s wedding at Enterkine Country house, Ayrshire

The beautiful wedding of Danielle and Dominic at Enterkine House Hotel, in Ayrshire.

I have done wedding photography at Enterkine Country House a few times.

But the venue had undergone a massive refurbishment since I had last been there so I was so excited to see the changes.

I met Danielle and Dominic down at the venue for our final meeting.

OMG, what a difference! This venue had completely changed. Stunning!!

We all took a walk through the extensive grounds and had plans for what we were going to do on the wedding day. It was going to be incredible.

Well, the weather on their June wedding scuppered all our outdoor plans as it was one of those rare days where it didn’t stop raining all day, I mean ALL day.

Although, I wasn’t worried as the venue had this incredible reception area surrounded by floor to ceiling glass so loads of natural light getting in. We would do the majority of the pictures here.

I started the shoot at The Gatehouse where Danielle was getting ready with all her bridesmaids. A great buzz of activity in this lovely wee house. Dominic arrived with his entourage at the main house. I loved the guys suits and Dominic’s suit  was a fantastic green colour with his name and wedding date embroidered into the inside of the jacket, nice touch!

I also got the pleasure  of seeing Dom’s pants with a picture of Danielle’s face on the front, a first for me on a wedding day but hilarious!

I went back up to the girls house where Danielle was getting into her stunning dress, so elegant, she looked amazing. She was then driven down to the house to meet her grandparents who wanted to see her before anyone else, lots of tears on show!

It was time for the ceremony. Another first for me was so see the groom coming down the aisle wearing  a bullet proof vest, walking  his wee dog with  50 Cent’s Candy Shop song blaring out of the speakers . It was so funny! Not to be shown up by her groom Danielle came down the aisle with her proud Dad, a vision of beauty (and not a bullet proof vest in sight).

The ceremony was lovely and full of emotion. Such an impressive ceremony room with extensive ceiling height which really gave a feeling of grandeur. After the ceremony finished  the couple walked up the aisle with their dog, loved it.

At this point the rain was that very light way so we managed to get everyone out for a group shot before running indoors again. As I mentioned before we did the rest of the pictures in the reception area because of the rain. Also the entrance to the hotel has a slightly covered area so I could get some shots of the couple there without them getting wet. Out the back of the hotel was a beautiful deck so we did pictures under a gazebo, again to avoid the couple getting wet. I am always thinking  of my clients!

It was time for the meal and speeches. Danielle and Dominic had a superb entrance into the room with everyone waving their napkins in the air, I just loved this pair!

The evenings festivities were getting started and the couple had their first dance on a cloud. A stunning special effect which I had never seen before, it was amazing.

After the first 4 or 5 dances Danielle changed into another short, cute dress, perfect for dancing the night away.

Although the weather was wet and dull all day that was a complete contrast to Danielle and Dominic’s attitude. They had an excellent  time and no amount  of rain was going to stop them having the best, fun filled wedding day . Just great guys!!
