It was going to be one of those rare days in a couples wedding where it rained all day but it certainly did not dampen Hannanh and Ross’s spirit as they quite simply had the time of their lives!
The Dalmeny Park hotel is in Barrhead near Glasgow. It went though a major refurb a few years ago and it is absolutely stunning, just the perfect place to get married.
Everything was happening at the hotel which made things quite easy.
Their ceremony was in the glass fronted reception room overlooking the band stand. I did manage to get them outside for pictures with the help of a brolly and the aforementioned band stand for shelter. The building also has quite a handy overhang and I managed to squeeze Hannah and Ross under that for some dry pics! There is also the older part of the building which has a beautiful stained glass window, ideal for rainy day pictures.
Unfortunately we did not use the extensive grounds as it really was too wet but it didn’t matter as what we did get in the other areas was perfect.
My favourite picture was of when the bridal party let off a confetti gun, Hannah and Ross’s faces were fantastic, it really did sum up their personalities!
At night they had not one but two bands for entertainment. What a night!!!
