Alison and Peter's wedding photography at Lochside House hotel
It was one of those beautiful, but cold, winter days for Alison and Peter's wedding at Lochside house hotel, in New Cummnock.
The day started in one of the lodges that the girls had stayed in the night before. Quite a few girls, 7 bridesmaids and two flowers girls. So lots going on! I love busy morning like this, so much to photograph.
I headed to take some snaps of Peter and the boys. Lots of them too, 13 groomsmen which I think is a record!
I went between the main hotel and lodge all morning to capture all the goings on. It really got my steps up!
When the girls were ready they all walked the short distance to the hotel. I love pictures of the bridal party walking to the ceremony. The ceremony was held in the prupose built aptly named ceremomy room of the hotel. The sun was shinning in through the large floor to celing window. It created some beautiful light.
After the "Ido's" all the guests headed outside for a large group shot. The winter light was amazing. Although low in the sky it gave off a warm glow which I loved.
I continued to do the pictures of the family and couple before we headed inside to get a heat! I persuaded Alison to come back outsie for a picture near the loch as the light was amazing. It was well worth it.
With it being November the sun was away for about 4pm so everyone was inside ready for speeches. This is one of my favourite things to photograph as it is completly candid, no one is aware I am taking pictures.
It was then time for the dancing. Again, another favourite thing for me to shoot. Also by this time people are just having fun.
What a great day! G x
