Louise and Ryan's wedding photography at Brig O' Doon House hotel, Alloway

5th February 2020

It was going to be a perfect day for Louise and Ryans wedding day at Brig O' Doon house hotel in Alloway.

I started the day at Louises parents house in Troon. It was a great house for getting ready. Loads of space and lovely light. I loved all the little details they had like the Maid of Honour tea cups and personalised cup cake with the date if their wedding. Louise even had bride PJ'S! The bridesmaids dresses were amazing and such a unique colour. Louise 's dress was so elegant, it looked incredible.

I then headed to Alloway Parish church to photograph Ryan and his groomsmen. I also got pictures of all the guests arriving including Ryan's little nephew who was the pageboy. All the bridesmaids arrived first followed by Louise and her Dad. The ceremony was conducted by a family friend (who was also a minister!). After the ceremony we got some lovely confetti shots which was a picture that Louise really wanted.

As it was such a great day the Bride and Groom followed by all their guest just walked to the hotel which is literary next door! I then  took Louise and Ryan to the iconic bridge which overlooks the hotel grounds. It can be a tricky walk in heels but great for images!

The 3 of us then headed to the grounds of the hotel to meet the guests and for a large group shot. The couple had arranged for a harpist to play the the band stand while all the guest sipped champagne. It was perfect!

The hotel wedding co-ordinators were great and only ushered the guests inside when all the photographs were completed. The speeches were first followed by the meal. It was funny to learn that Louise met Ryan when he did work experience at the Opticians where she worked. So Louise went out with the Saturday boy!

After dinner I took the couple outside for a few more pictures in the softer warmer light. This is something I do often as it only takes a few minutes and you can get some great shots at that time for day. The light under the bridge was great.

It was back inside for some pictures of the Bygone Photo Booth and then straight into the first dance. The dance floor was full when I left. Just a perfect wedding day!
